Pumpkin carving
Good evening to you all 😊 This week has been another activity packed week for our children. Lambs enjoyed a physical activity over Greentrees hall on Monday. They started off with warm up exercises before doing a large group activity using the parachute working together as a team and following instructions. There has been lots of Autumn activities including fruit printing 🍏🍎& pumpkin carving 🎃🎃 They have been doing pencil control and number recognition along with turn taking games and Letters & Sounds. Their cooking activity this week was Rock cakes weighing and measuring out ingredients learning about 'cause & effect' and enjoying the end result !! Piglets have also had fun with their pumpkin 🎃🎃 carving out the inside and exploring the contents. They dried out the seeds and then made pictures with them. Along with their seed pictures they have been exploring different textures... wool, tissue paper, cotton wool & sequins making collages with them. One of their group activities was making leaf wreaths 🍂🍁🍃again exploring textures, following instructions and sharing resources. They also made Rock cakes for their cooking activity. Outside all the children have been having fun in the construction area using soft bricks, various sized logs, buckets and tape measures in their imaginative play. Water painting using different sized brushes and rollers on everything in the garden !! Music & Movement and Makaton have been a regular activity asked for by all of the children every day !! 🎼🎼🎤🎤 Just a reminder Piglets are asking for any curtain rings, Pringle tubes, wooden mug trees, corks, gift bags or boxes, jar lids, wooden/plastic bracelets, ribbon, material, kitchen roll tubes 😊😊😊😊
